Presumably, Trond Bøyessen Stele assumed ownership of the family farm after Ove Vilhjølmsen, previous heir, left for America in 1849. Wilhelm and Anne and their daughters then continued to live on the farm.

She may be the Mary Williamson, servant, living with the Nels Nelson family in Amherst Twp, Portage County, Wisconsin, in the 1860 census. She was shown as age 36. Couldn’t find her in later censuses.

Only Mattie and Severt are still living at home with Anne and him in the 1880 census although also living with them is a four-year-old grandson named Frank H. O’Donald whose father was born in Ireland. Presumably little Frank’s mother is either Anne the younger or Mary.

Registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Algona, Iowa, where he was attending school. He gave his permament address as Bancroft, Kossuth County, Iowa. He was described as of medium height and slender build with gray eyes and light hair. The comment “sound” was included in the section on disabilities.
