A memorial service to celebrate Kay's life will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Bethlehem Covenant Church, 3141 – 43rd Ave. So, Mpls. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made in Kay's honor to Bethlehem Covenant Church.

As Mrs. James (Helen) Merrick, of Glenrock or Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, at the times of her father’s death and her mother’s death. She was Helen Merrick of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, at the time of her sister Lucille’s death in late 2010.

Helen (Wold) Merrick, 92, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Misericordia Convalescent Home, York. She was the wife of the late James L. Merrick. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 1 New St., Glen Rock, with her pastor, the Rev. Beth Holz, officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow the service in the Union Cemetery, Glen Rock. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Merrick was born on January 7, 1919, in Duluth Minn., a daughter of the late Harold and Randi (Stanwick) Wold. She was a member of Immanuel Methodist Church; the United Methodist Church Women of the church, serving as treasurer for over 30 years; the Sunshine Sisters Sunday School Class; and she had helped with the dinners held at the church for many years. She also volunteered at the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen in York and with the Southern York County Food Pantry. Helen leaves two sons, C. Richard Merrick of Belfast, Maine, and L. James Merrick and his wife, Ann E. of Glen Rock; three grandchildren, Scott Merrick and his wife, Cindy, Lorraine Feinour, and Jacob Feinour; two great-grandchildren, Lydia Merrick and Timothy Merrick; a sister, Louise Wold of Duluth, Minn.; and two brothers, Richard Wold of San Rafael, Calif., and Harold Wold of Dallas, Texas.
