Also in their household was Sofie Andersdatter, 22, a maid, and Anne Mekelsdatter, Mekel’s widowed mother, age 77. There was another Mekel Haroldsen living on Braterud in the 1801 census. He was age 52 and his wife was the 42 year-old Kirsti Syversdatter. _That_ Mekel had a 6 year-old son Harold Mekelsen. Could Harald T have had two sons named Mekel??
