Memorial service will be Sat. Feb. 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Boulevard Park Presbyterian Church, 1822 S. 128th, Seattle. 22696 William C. Dillingham, 59, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, March 3, 2014, Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. A service honoring William's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. William is survived by his sons, Jeremy, Carroll; Max, Douglas and Wolfgang, all of Fort Dodge; one grandson Austin; his mother Ila Dillingham, Fort Dodge; and two sisters, Judy Kreiman, Lakeville, Minn.; and Janice Koestner, Eagle Grove. He was preceded in death by his father Willard. William Charles Dillingham, the son of Willard E. and Ila (Anderson) Dillingham, was born January 28, 1955, in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge schools and went to community college where he learned about mechanics, welding, carpentry and electrical wiring. He worked at U.S. Gypsum for 25 years and also at Central States for eight years. He was a hard worker. 22699 William Frank “Bill” Dotzler, age 72 of Aitkin died Friday, December 26, 2014 peacefully at his home. Bill was born May 1, 1942 in Aitkin, Minnesota the son of Frank and Sara (Banks) Dotzler. He grew up and attended schools in Aitkin graduating from the Aitkin High School in 1960. He worked for Aitkin Motor Company for several years and then Hasskamp Equipment for a time. He also worked for Al Johnson Construction growing wild rice. He also worked for Red Welshons as a herd manager for a herd of beef cattle and also worked for Triangle Sales building barns and repairing barns. He married Linda M. Stofferahn on September 27, 1969 in McGregor. They made their home out on the rice flats for a couple of years and then moved north of Aitkin and operated a dairy farm until selling the dairy operation in 2005 and he went into raising beef cattle and sheep. He also worked for Blue Valley Sod and helped grow lawn grass. He was a school bus driver for the Aitkin Independent Schools for many years and drove bus up until Christmas break. He was a member of the Mississippi Headwaters Board, the Aitkin Township Board, Central Cattleman’s Association, ASCS Board, AMPI Board of Directors and St. John’s Lutheran Church of Cedarbrook, having served on church council. He enjoyed collecting Louis L’Amour and William Johnstone western books, World War II books, toy tractors and friends. He loved deer hunting, fishing, traveling, fixing machinery and watching his crops grow, especially his corn. He enjoyed football, especially the Gobblers and Sunday afternoons with the Vikings, attending wrestling matches and dance line. In his younger years he enjoyed snowmobiling and ice fishing with his family. Above all he loved farming and driving school bus and his family. Over the years he was a surrogate dad to many neighborhood boys and he was grandpa to the children he loved so dearly on his school bus. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and good friend to many. He is survived by his mother Sara Dotzler of Aitkin; Wife: Linda Dotzler of Aitkin; Sons and daughters in law: John and Patti Dotzler of St. Petersburg, Florida; Kevin and Penni Dotzler of Aitkin; Daughter and son in law: Laura and Dean Stack of Nevis, Mn.; Brothers: Phillip (Judy) Dotzler of Aitkin, Ronald (Sharon) Dotzler of Aitkin; Donald (Carol) Dotzler of Nashwauk, Mn.; Sisters: Ruth (Gerald) Erickson of Minnetonka, Mn.; Elaine (Ron) Schafer of Oak Park, MN.; Eileen Ternus of Dent, Mn.; Grandchildren: Spencer, Molly, Justine, Step Grandchildren: Kenny, Kristina, Mitchell, and Cooper; Great Grandchildren: Landon, Ethan, Avalynn, Kaelyn, Sienna and Cora. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 AM from St. John’s Lutheran Church at Cedarbrook with Rev. Sandy Berg Holte officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church. DOTZLER, William Frank (I6937)
 
22700 William George Estrem, 92 years old, of Scotts Valley, passed away on May 31st, 2022, after contending with Alzheimers dementia for 10 years. He was survived by Shirley Estrem, his loving wife of 59 and a half years.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Estrem of Weiser, ID; brother-in-law, Stanley Conrad of Scotts Valley; niece, Brenda Stack of Ogden UT; nephew, Edward Conrad of Scotts Valley; and granddaughter Téa Hegg of Boll, Switzerland. He is fondly remembered by his son, Conrad and Heidi Estrem of Boise ID; daughter, Kimberly Ann and Aschi Hegg of Boll, Switzerland; grandchildren, Zoé Hegg, Siena Estrem, Rémy Estrem, Kaioa and Tiana Hegg; sister in law, Carol Conrad; and nieces, Debra Clausen, Aleta Leen and Pamela Conrad, and many other friends and family.

William was born on August 29, 1929, in Sacramento, CA, to Ernest and Alice Estrem. He attended Auburn High School, and following graduation in 1947, he owned a bread delivery service providing bread for business in the Tahoe-Donner area. He also continued his studies by attending Placer College. His studies were interrupted by the Korean War. He volunteered to serve in the Air Force. By volunteering, he could choose his placement and serve at Ramstein Air Force base in Landstuhl, Germany. He worked in a pharmacy on the base. He enjoyed exploring central Europe during his leave time in Germany. He was honorably discharged after four years of service and returned to Placer College, now known as Sierra College. From Sierra College, he transferred to Stanford University and completed his degree in Political Science.

William met his wife-to-be, Shirley, while working during the summers inspecting pears in Lake County. In 1962, on November 11th, the two were married at Stanford University and settled in Scotts Valley. For forty years, William and Shirley worked hard to raise the best crop of pears. He spent many years serving on various pear boards to put his Stanford degree to good use. In serving on these boards, he traveled domestically and internationally to learn more about the pear industry. He was the Director of the California Tree Fruit Agreement for many years. He also represented Lake County growers on the Canning Pear Assn. He also served with the North Coast Fruit Agreement. He was the founder and President of the Scotts Valley Water Conversation District. The ranch served as a receiving station for Hunts/Wesson canned foods, where local farmers brought pears to be inspected and sent out to the cannery. At 73, William retired from pear farming and traveled to Switzerland, Michigan, and later Idaho to visit family and enjoy his grandchildren.

William was known for his gentle kindness, quiet calm presence, infinite patience, twinkling eyes and a sweet smile.
