Viola D. Anderson, 91, of Fort Dodge, Iowa died Friday, November 6, 2009 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Rev. John Sersland officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Viola was born April 29, 1918 the daughter of Sam and Caroline (Steinberg) Weaver in Buffalo Center, Iowa. She was raised in Ledyard, Iowa where she also received her education. Viola later married Gilbert Anderson and the couple moved to the Fort Dodge area in 1937. Gilbert and Viola remained around Fort Dodge the rest of their lives.Those thankful for having shared in Viola’s life include her children: Ronald (Doris) Anderson, Gary (Betty) Anderson, Carolyn (Donald) Woodman, Phyllis (Merle) Faith, Wayne (Kay) Anderson, Keith (Jeannie) Anderson, sisters: Alice Kramsmeir, Marjorie (Earl) Carpenter, eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gilbert, two brothers: Joe and twin brother Victor and two grandchildren. | WEAVER, Viola Deane (I22501)

Viola G. Honrud, 90, Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, June 19, 2010, in Innovis Health, Fargo, ND.
Viola Georgia Toso was born December 30, 1919, in Maplewood (MN) Township to Martin and Mabel (Weik) Toso. She graduated from Pelican Rapids, MN, high school with honors. Viola then attended Moorhead State College and graduated with her Master's degree in elementary education.
Viola married Loris Lowe who was killed in action in WWII. She was also married to Rodney Gilberts, Marvin Honrud and Reuben Swanson, all who are deceased. Viola taught school for more than thirty years in Pelican Rapids and Dilworth, MN.
Viola was active in the Our Savior's Lutheran Church quilting group. She liked rosemaling and she participated in activities at the Sons of Norway. Viola was also a world traveler and enjoyed visiting new places.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William and Vernon; and a sister, Evelyn.
Memorial Service: Thursday, June 24, 2010, at 2 PM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Violet "Vickie" Deloris Simonson, 76, of Grand Meadow, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center, where she had lived since April.
She was born Dec. 5, 1925, to John and Bettsy (Knutson) Waller. She attended school in Austin.
On May 9, 1947, she married Maynard Everett James Simonson at the Lutheran Parsonage in Grand Meadow.
Vickie owned and operated the G.M. Cafe for four years and later cooked at Meadow Manor in Grand Meadow for seven and one-half years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, cooking, sewing and crafts.
Survivors include children, Lanna (Ronald) Gehling, Preston; Donnie Simonson, Grand Meadow; Jeanie (Dennis) King, Ostrander; Rhonda (Mike) Ptacek, Grand Meadow; Julie (Marty) Stier, Grand Meadow; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Julia (Dwight) Waldron, Austin; brothers-in-law, Ralph Christenson, Austin; Joe Monahan, Waseca; sister-in-law, Linda Waller, Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1980, one grandson, four brothers and five sisters.
Visitation: 5 to 8:30 p.m., today, Sept. 16, 2002, at the funeral home and Tuesday at the church for one hour before the service.
Service: 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ostrander with the Rev. Jane Timmerman officiating.
Interment: Bear Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Frankford Township.

Violet L. Ellingboe, 96 of Belgrade, died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Big Grove Lutheran Church near Belgrade. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.
Violet Lucille Ellingboe was born on March 30, 1921, on the family farm near Sauk Rapids, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Schultz) Grovender. She grew up on the family farm and attended country grade school. As a young women, she moved out to California where she worked as “Rosie the riveter” building airplanes during WWII. On May 30, 1941, Violet was united in marriage to Orville Ellingboe. To this union, two daughters and two sons were born. They moved to a farm near Belgrade in 1948 and Pequot Lakes in 1958 where they owned and operated a resort. Vi and Orville later divorced and she made her home in Brainerd where she worked at the State Hospital. She returned to Belgrade in 1998 and moved near the cities in 2005 to be closer to her children.
Vi was a member of Big Grove Lutheran Church and was an active member of the Geritol Frolics Community Theatre while living in Brainerd. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, playing cards and cooking for family and friends.
Violet died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Park View Care Center in Buffalo at the age of 96. She is survived by her children, Arlene Rath of Buffalo, Jim (JoAnn) Ellingboe of West St. Paul; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
