| 22387 | Tilford E. Hellie Jr, age 71 of St. Croix Falls, WI passed away in his sleep at his home on Sunday, January 23, 2011. Tilford was born May 18, 1939 to Tilford and Clara Hellie of Morris, MN; where he was raised. After graduating from Morris High School in 1957 he attended college and earned his Bachelors degree in Education. After college, Tilford was an active member of the Army National Guard for several years. In 1967 Tilford married Gretchen Dokken of Benson, MN. Benson became their home and they had two sons, Christopher and Erik. Tilford eventually lived and worked in Minneapolis for many years before moving to St Croix Falls, WI; where he and Gretchen enjoyed retirement. There’s nothing Tilford enjoyed more than visiting with friends and being active in different community groups. He also loved spending time with his sons and grandchildren and being a part of their lives. He was a proud father and grandfather. Tilford was preceded in death by his parents, Tilford and Clara Hellie, his younger brother Keith, and his granddaughter Madeline. Survivors include Gretchen Dokken-Hellie, sons Christopher (Michelle) Hellie and Erik (Jennifer) Hellie, and grandchildren, Emily, Bennett, Marty and Stuart. | HELLIE, Tilford (I40598)

| 22388 | Tillman’s obit says that Selma and he were married on November 14, 1923. Selma’s death is not listed in the index of Vernon County deaths because she died at a hospital in La Crosse. She had been hospitalized for at least three weeks. The Rev. H. T. Haakenson of Viroqua officiated at her funeral which was held at 2:00 PM at the “Folsom church.” | SIMONSON, Selma Benora (I225)
