Han var også klokker fra 1808 i Vang, og i hele Vang fra 1817-1860, han var hjelpevaksinatør 1824-63, medlem i bankstyret, og han var en meget brukt kjøgemeister. Gjartrud og Ola hadde også sønnen Ola (1818- ) han var lærer, ugift og bodde hjemme . Den 17.10.1874 ble han borte i Kvamskleivene, han kan ha fallt utfor, men ryktet sier at han ble myrdet og kastet utfor. Morderen ble aldri funnet. Om de andre abrna, se kona hans Gjartrud E Bø.

He was also a klokker (sexton/preceptor/school master/bell ringer) from 1808 in Vang, and in the whole of Vang from 1817-1860, he was an assistant vaccinator 1824-63, a member of the bank board, and he was a much-used kitchen master. Gjartrud and Ola also had a son Ola (1818- ) he was a teacher, unmarried and lived at home. On 17.10.1874 he disappeared in Kvamskleivene, he may have fallen off the mountain, but rumor has it that he was murdered and thrown off the mountain. The murderer was never found.
