19828 Single and living at home in the 1900 census.

Single and living with her sister Augusta and family in Madison in the 1905 state census and the 1910 federal census. Clara is a dressmaker.

As Engle, she is living with Augusta and Jesse in Marmath Twp, Slope County, North Dakota, in that state’s 1915 census.

In March of 1915, articles of incorporation were filed with the North Dakota secretary of state for the Marmarth Mercantile Company of Marmarth, its capital stock $50,000. The directors were J L Engle, Augusta E Radke, and Clara Engle.

In the probate records for her father’s estate, she is listed as Clara Engel, daughter, Ashland, Oregon.

She and David lived in Portland in 1924.

ceit1248 erroneously has her as Clara Adella Engel, b. 7 Nov 1882, d. 25 Sep 1938 in Grant’s Pass, and her mother as Marie Engel, b. 1854. The source of the error may be Clara’s age being misstated in the 1920 and 1930 censuses.
