He is also shown as the head of a household on North Military Street that consists of him as head and Bertha, “sister.” In both, Conrad is shown as a merchant in groceries. Bertha is a saleslady at, presumably, Conrad’s grocery store. No one else has an occupation.

An article in the August 3, 1906, edition of the Lawrence Democrat called him a prize cantaloupe grower.

Registered for the draft on June 5, 1917, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, where he lived with his wife and two children. His occupation is shown as merchant. He is described as of medium height and slender build with light blue eyes and light hair.

The family lived at 309 Gaines Street in Lawrenceburg in the 1930 census. Conrad was a merchant of groceries.

Conrad, Olive and Roy live at 221 West Gaines in Lawrenceburg in the 1940 census. He is the operator of a retail grocery. They had lived in the same house in 1935.

Alma Doris Harden, 84, died Monday, Sep. 6, 2010 in Lubbock. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sep. 9, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church in Lubbock with Pastor David Rohde officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home and visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Doris was born Oct. 28, 1925 to the Late Alma E. and Joe A. Wilson, Sr. in Dallas. The Wilson family moved to Oklahoma City in `34, where Doris was raised.

After graduating from high school in Oklahoma City in `43, she began nursing training at St. Anthony Hospital, Oklahoma City. After completing Nurse Anesthetist training in New Orleans, she began her career as RN, Anesthetist, working at hospitals in Wisconsin, Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas. While working in Plainview, she met Charles T. Harden, Jr., where they married in `53. In `54, Doris and Charles moved to Lubbock, where they raised their four children. She continued her career as a Nurse Anesthetist at various hospitals in Lubbock and the surrounding South Plains area until retiring in`87. After retirement, she thrived in helping her church and volunteering in her community, as well as being a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother, while also raising her granddaughter, Elizabeth A. Welch.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in `86; daughter, Susan E. Welch, in `84; and twin son, Thomas D. Harden, in `85.

She is survived by brothers, Joe Wilson of Amarillo and James Wilson and wife Jeanne of Chesterville, Md.; son, Douglas Harden and wife Donna of Austin; twin daughter, Shirley Newman and Mike of Dalhart; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to a favorite charity, hospice care, or LCMS Seminary Fund.

She and her family were living in Dallas at the time of the 1930 census.

Registered for the draft on June 5, 1917, in Bent County, Colorado, as Harvey Enoch. He is single and a self-employed farmer in Bent County. He claimed to have served in the Tennessee National Guard. He claimed exemption from the draft due to physical disability but none was noted in his physical description. He was described as of medium height and build with blue eyes and brown hair.

Enoch K. Ellingboe and family were living on a rented farm in Valley, Kiowa County, Kansas, in the 1925 Kansas state census. The family consisted of E H, 33, Opal F., 24, born in Oklahoma, Ethel Mildred, 6, Eugene Harvey, 5, and Edward Raymond, 3.

They were still there at the time of the 1930 census. The family consisted of Enoch, 38, Opal F., 29, Ethel M., 11, Eugene, 10, and Edward, 8. Opal was born in Oklahoma, all of the children were born in Kansas. Enoch was a veteran of the World War.

In the 1940 census, Enoch, Opal, and their two sons lived on their farm in Garfield Twp, Kiowa County, Kansas. Both boys were still students.

Enoch and his wife lived in Greensburg, Kansas, at the time of Edward Raymond’s death in World War II.
