Robert was born on June 16, 1945 and passed away on Monday, September 8, 2008.
Robert was last known to be living in Marvin, South Dakota.
He attended 12 years of school at Baudette, MN and graduated in 1963. He attended Bemidji State College for two years.
Bob enlisted in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Carol.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wilmot. Rev. Glenn Schultz will officiate and burial will be in the Kilborn Lutheran Cemetery near Corona. Visitation will be at Mundwiler Funeral Home on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and continue at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the service.

Beloved husband and dad Passed away at the age of 56 In Tucson, AZ, on December 21, 2005, after a long, brave battle with cancer, to the great golf course in heaven to play a round of golf with our Lord. Owen was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Sondrol. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Bonnie J. Sondrol; children, Carrie Hegstrom (John) and Eric Schroeder (Jen) of MN; grandson, Ethan Schroeder of MN; parents, Russell and Norma Sondrol of MN; sisters, Dianne Johnson (Greg) and Vicky Butcher (Arlin) of MN; niece and godchild, Cheryl Johnson of CO; and a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Owen was a faithful friend and dedicated servant to many. He shared his humor and vitality as a committed church member and charitable fund raiser, served in many community organizations and was a friend of Bill W. for 26 years. 19450 Sondrol, Russell Vernon 95, formerly of Crystal, MN. Passed away peacefully at St. Therese of New Hope on Jan. 3, 2017. Released from the throes of dementia. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 64 years, Norma; and sons, Doug Sondrol and Owen Sondrol; "canine kids" Charlie, Sammy, Buster and BJ. Survived by daughters, Dianne (Greg) Johnson of Champlin, MN and Vicky (Arlin "Butch") Butcher of Maple Grove, MN; granddaughter, Cheryl (RJ) Seres and their children Rio & Aunica of Colorado; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Sondrol of Green Valley, AZ and her children and their families, Carrie (John) Hegstrom, their daughters, Evelyne & Elayna of Duluth, MN; Eric (Jane) Schroeder, his son Ethan of Apple Valley, MN; brother, LuVerne Sondrol of Glenwood, MN; sister-in-law, Audrey Sondrol of Sunburg, MN, and many other relatives and friends. World War II veteran, serving in the US Army in the Aleutian Islands Battle for Attu. Early in life, farmed in the Sunburg, MN area. Retired USPS mail carrier. Also retired part-time bus driver for Medicine Lake Lines. A proud "100% Norwegian" who truly possessed the "Gift to Gab." He will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, including his loyal St. James golf buddies - Frode, Ken, Dick, Dan and "golf angels" Erv & Bill. The family is grateful to the caring staff of St. Therese of New Hope. Special thanks to nurses Edwina and Kiki for their loving compassion shown to Dad while residing at St. Therese.
