Some sources incorrectly say 18 Feb in Duluth. This date and location are from the ELCA records and from Wisconsin County Marriages, the latter as Andrew Everson and Anna M. Bye. Ever Everson and Ed Gustad were witnesses. Andrew correctly recalled to the WPA interviewer in 1936 that he and Annie were married in March of 1892. Some sources incorrectly say he was born in Norway. The Dalby Database shows his birth date as 19 Nov 1868.
From MOMS, he appears to have had a brother Nels, who married Dora G Oldre, and Peter, who married Nellie Olson.
In the 1900 census, he and his family lived in Holden Twp, Goodhue County, Minnesota. On that census form, the Knute Rauk (#13707) family was the next one after Even’s.
Even Remme, 56, a resident of Goodhue county for thirty-five years, died Friday afternoon at his home of apoplexy. He had been in good health all the time with the exception of suffering sometime with rheumatism. He and his son, were in town Friday morning and on arriving at his home he complained of being cold,ate a light lunch and rested. About three o'clock he got to feeling better and wanted to help his son with the hay, when he again complained of pains in his chest. He passed away about four o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at the home and the Vangs Norwegian Lutheran church, Rev. M. E. Hauge officiating. Burial was made in Vangs cemetery. Mr. Remme is survived by his one son, Ole, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Austin Kasa of Holden, Mrs. Leonard Foss of Kenyon; three sisters Mrs. Bell Dalager of Huron, S. D., Mrs. Stanley Douty of Luverne, Minn., Mrs. Ole Helling, Magnolia, Minn., and brothers, Peter, Ole, Nels, Gilbert, and Oscar of Luverne, Minn., and Marvin, Carl and Gust of this place. | REMME, Even O (I24310)
