MARTIN, VIRGINIA REICH 88, passed away peacefully August 25, 2010. Born June 11, 1922 in Moravia, Iowa, her family moved to Glenwood Spgs, Colorado, in the mid-1930s. She graduated from Garfield County High School in 1940 as class valedictorian, attended Colorado Woman's College for two years earning an Associate of Arts, and graduated from Colorado College with a degree in Bus. Admin and Banking in 1944. Her husband of 63 years, Frank, and her parents Herschel and Louella Reich preceded her in death. The family would like to thank the staff of The Village in Centennial, CO for their wonderful support and care over the last few years. Virginia will be missed by her children and grand children: Gary Martin (Polly); Christie Ehmann (Walter, Ehren 32, Adriane 27); Colleen Mallgren (Tony, Evan (Courtney) 29, Wes 27); Ken Martin (Christy, Mackey 26, Tammy (Daniel) Crawford 24, Justin 22, Jefferson 20, Hannah 21, Mattie 18) and Brent Martin (Lisa, Ava 14); and her great grandchild, Josiah Crawford. Her sister Allene Robson, nieces Meg Mahoney, Deb Robson, and their families will also miss her. Virginia was the essential "beloved mother" who kept the household together and pointed in the right direction. She dedicated her life to her family. A pleasure to spend time with, she quietly and humbly lived a life of excellence. She was the foundation of our family and one of the pillars of the neighborhood. The ripple effect of her gentle forgiving ways, loving guidance, humor, and inspiration will be felt in all the generations to come. When a loved one passes, there is in her survivor's lives a certain sadness and grief, which is eventually resolved by the recurring memories of that loved one, who then takes a deserved place again as a virtual companion in her survivor's futures. We, her family, are blessed by God to have had her in our lives. | REICH, Virginia Lou (I3283)
