Mary Jane Finley was born in January 1931 in Chatfield. She married Joe Archambo. She was a nurse practitioner, as well as a restaurant owner. Her husband was an aerospace engineer with 3M and Honeywell; he survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Michael, Timothy, James and Steven, all of California; a daughter, Kathy Gannon of California; grandchildren; and a sister, Sharon M. In the 1900 census, Mary is shown to have had one child, and to have been married for 13 years to Henry. However, Mary Mack is also shown to have come to the U.S. in 1886 which would seem to rule out her being the mother of Ella and Gustave. However, the ELCA church records confirm that she, as Marie Amelia Johnson, was the mother of Gustav and Nellie. Wisconsin Births and Christenings confirms that she was the mother of Ella.
In the 1901-1902 La Crosse city directory, Henry Mack “wks S&K Mfg Co” and resides at 1631 Winnebago.
