Info from Connie Ferris, via Find A Grave:

Ingeborg was the third of five children born to Knud Evensen and his wife Kari Kristoffersdatter (from the Heen farm). Ingeborg was born on the Østrem farm (sometimes spelled Austreim) and it was usually this farm name that the family used when they arrived in the United States.

Ingeborg's entire family emigrated to America, arriving in New York on the ship Ørnen July 15, 1850. The family settled in Winneshiek county in Iowa where Knud was a farmer. It is unknown when or where Ingeborg married Anders Andersen Hoverstad, son of Anders Andersen and Berit Torgersdatter, but they lived in Goodhue County, Minnesota, for many years and all five of their children were born there. Anders died in 1874.

Anders and Ingeborg had the following children:
Berith (1858 - 1924)
Kari (1860 - 1911)
Anders (abt 1864 - 1887) m. Gertrude Soine
Torger (1868 - 1943) m. Mary Thomson

18837 She is I4391 in Jim’s Ellingboe tree.

Jim’s notes (according to a letter from Vickie H.):

"Ambjør," as her name was written in earlier records, was five years old when her family of eight immigrated to the Spring Prairie community in Columbia County, Wisconsin. In 1861 her family came to Warsaw Township in Goodhue County, where she spent the rest of her life. On May 22, 1864, Ambjor was confirmed with 13 others at Holden Lutheran Church, rural Kenyon. Her parents later joined Vang Lutheran Church in Dennison. After marriage Ambjor and Iver lived in Warsaw Township near the Kasa farm. She became a widow at the age of 32 years, and gave birth to her 5th child eight months after Iver's death. In 1911 Ambjor sold, to her son Erik, 126 acres in sections 20 and 29 of Warsaw Township for $7,000. At the time of the 1930 census, she was living with Erik and his family. Prior to her death, she lived with her daughter Christine in Dennison. Ambjor was the last surviving child of Erika and Berit Nystuen Kasa's seven children. She and Iver had five children.

Shown as “Ambjor” on her death certificate.

Find A Grave says that she came to the U.S. with her parents in 1854.

In the 1885 state census she is a widow living with her five children in Warsaw Twp next to her Kasa siblings and parents.

In the 1895 state census she is Ambjor Ellingboe, living with her five children in Warsaw Twp.

In the 1900 census, shown as having emigrated in 1860.

In the 1900 census, she and her family were living in Warsaw Township, Goodhue County, MN. The family consisted of Ambjor, 50 (Jan 1850), widowed and the mother of 3 children, her son, Erik, 23 (Mar 1877), her son Iver J., 18 (Jan 1882), and her grand-daughter Emeline, 4 (Apr 1896). Both of Emeline’s parents were born in Minnesota. A Helge Kasa and family, perhaps Ambjor’s brother, lived two farms away.

In the 1910 census, she is living with her son Erick and his family. She is shown to have had 5 children, apparently 5 still living.

Her son Iver’s employment registration card at CF&I listed her as Mrs. Emma Elllingboe of Dennison, Minnesota, his nearest blood relative.
