18581 She was school teacher in Wisconsin for many years.

Her obit said that her first husband died in 1967 and she married again in August of 1967. This must be erroneous and she probably married Duane Banning in August of 1969. Her obit also said that she married Leonard Radke in 1941.
ROBINSON, Esther Mae (I30403)

18582 She was Seagrave’s wife in the 1870 census.

An article in the Goodhue County Republican of Red Wing, in its Janury 25, 1872, issue notes: “We learn from the Farmington Press that the wife of Hon. Seagrave Smith died in Hastings on the 12th, of typhoid fever.”
HOWES, Fidelia P (I17949)

18583 She was Selma Bergstrom of Omaha, Nebraska, at the time of her father’s death.

According to the Minnesota Marriage Collection, she married Thure P Johnson in Scott County on 22 Aug 1959. That marriage is not in MOMS.

Her obit says that she was “survived by step-son, Philip (Rita) Johnson of Mpls; brother-in-law, Glen Stofer of Faribault; 12 nieces & nephews.”
BERGSTROM, Selma Alvina (I13408)

18584 She was separated from her husband, perhaps officially divorced, from at least 1910, perhaps earlier. ELTON, Gjertrude Andersdatter (I34687)

18585 She was Shirley Burant of Chilliwack at the time of her father’s death in 1994.

Shirley passed away peacefully on February 15, 2019 at the age of 89 and is now in the loving presence of her Lord and Saviour.

Shirley was born January 11, 1930 in Spalding, Saskatchewan to Clyde and Annie King (Mealue), and was the second oldest of 4 daughters.

She left Spalding in 1947 for Vancouver, and shortly after moved to Chilliwack and married Len Vetterl in June, 1948. They raised 4 children before he passed in 1971 from cancer. Shirley and Lorne were married January 11, 1979 and enjoyed several trips across Canada, her favourite place to visit being Newfoundland.

Shirley contributed her time in church office duties, and supported many Christian Ministries and standing for the unborn. She was creative and crafty, sewing, knitting, crochet and cross stitch were her favourite past times along with a passion for reading. Her home was an open door for tea with family and friends and she had a lending ear to everyone.

She had a kind, gentle way about her and a humorous kick-up-your-heels side too that made everyone laugh. She loved all types of music, from classical to country, played piano and learned classical guitar in her 50's. She also loved to study the birds that attended her bird feeders and enjoyed time in her yard gardening, the view of Mt. Cheam and spending peaceful, quiet moments in the beauty that surrounded her. But above all, she loved her family more than anything else in the world. Mom, you were loved very much and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lorne Burant and her four children Janis (Rick) Olsen, Jerry (Helen) Vetterl, Jermaine (Les) Heinrich, Jason (Brenda) Vetterl, her sister Gae McFarlane, 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pre-deceased by her parents Clyde and Annie King, and her first husband of 23 years Len Vetterl, her sisters Iris LeClerc and Maxine Siemens.

St. Mary's Parish in Chilliwack will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on February 26, 2019.
KING, Shirley Ann (I40443)

18586 She was shot and killed by Rick Charles Fultz as she and her husband were leaving the Valli Pizza Restaurant in Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota. Fultz fired six shots, two of which hit Ruth. Fultz was a 26 year-old TA in the U of M’s Physics department. Fultz had been treated for mental illness, specifically paranoid schizophrenia. Fultz later hanged himself in Stillwater prison in March of 1974. DETLIE, Ruth Carol (I21512)

18587 She was shown as 2 years old in the 1910 census and 11 years old in the 1920 census which took place in January of 1920.

The Dalby Database has her birthdate as 10 Apr 1908 and her death date as 27 Apr 1920.

Minnesota Births and Christenings says 10 Apr 1910.
THORESON, Florence Idella (I8762)

18588 She was shown as Ane Arnesdatter Vinje, age 25, of Grytten, when she married.

In the 1865 census, shown as Ane Arndtsdatter, born in 1830 in Gryttens.

In the Grytten records, an Anne Arnesdatter Vinje was confirmed October 20, 1843. This Anne was born 6 Nov 1828. This Anne was born of Arne Anderssen and Eli Olsdatter in Tiva (or Fiva?).

In the IGI, through FamilySearch.com, as the mother of Anders Iversen, she is shown as Ane Arnesdatter.

Called Ane Arneson in the marriage record of Andrew and Annie.

Emigrated to the U.S. in 1894 according to the 1900 census.

In the 1895 state census, the newly-arrived Erick and Anna were living with their son Edvard and wife as well as the Rasmussens and the Eversons in Farm Island Twp.

In the 1900 census, Annie (69, born in January of 1831) and Erick (70, born in April of 1830) were living with son Edward and next door to son Ever in Farm Island township in Aitkin County. They are shown as having been married for 40 years. Annie is shown as having borne 7 children, 5 still living. (The dead ones must have been daughters Ellen and Anna.) In the 1900 census, Annie is shown as being unable to read or write or to speak English. Erick can’t read or write either but can speak English. Erick is shown as “fisherman.” Also living with Edward Gustad at the time of the 1900 census is a 25 year old man named Charles Gustad and shown as “brother.” Perhaps this was Elise Gustad’s brother and the indication of Gustad as his last name is in error.

In the 1905 state census, the Gustads are in Farm Island, living next door to the Mackamans. The household consists of Edd, 39, Elisa, 39, Margett, 7, Agnes, 9 months, Erick, 76, and Anna, 76. Ed is a carpenter. He had been in the state for 14 years and in the present enumeration district for 12 years. For Elisa, Erick, and Anna those numbers are 11 and 11.

Annie and Erick are still living with son Edward and family at the time of the 1910 census in April but they have now moved to Rabbit Lake Twp in Crow Wing County. Anna is shown as having been married for 48 years which would put their marriage in 1861 or early 1862 instead of the 1860 suggested in the 1900 census. In the 1910 census, both Erick and Anna are shown as being able to read and write but they speak Norwegian and not English. In this census, Anna is also shown as having had 7 children, 5 still living.

Her death certificate gave the cause of death as senile debility.
VINJE, Ane Arntsdatter (I52)

18589 She was shown in the 1910 census as a seamstress. At that time she was living with her parents and brother on Bae 72/5 in Bremsnes. BAE, Elise Pedersdatter (I17704)

18590 she was shown, erroneously, as not quite 23 in Ole’s birth record TORVIK, Marit Martinusdatter (I2202)
