18031 She is not the Ingeborg, wife of Nels Asperheim, living next door to Peter and Betsey Sime in Soldiers Grove at the time of the 1900 census.

In the 1865 Norwegian census, Ingebjørg is shown as 12 years old.

In the 1920 census, she and her husband Tollef live in Franklin Twp, Vernon County, just down the census page from the Albert Ekum family. Tollef and Ingeborg are shown as having come to the U.S. in 1884.

In the 1940 census, as the widow Ingebor Severson, she lives with her sister Anna in Soldiers Grove.

An Ingeborg Severson, b. 1855 but with no death date, is buried in North Kickapoo Lutheran Cemetery, sharing the same gravestone as Tollef Severson, 1857-1936.
NUNDAHL, Ingebjørg Olsen (I4440)

18034 She is not the person in Minnesota birth certificate 1913-18989A.

In the 1930 census, she was 16 year-old LaVerne, living with her widowed mother in Liberty election precinct, Marion County, Oregon.

Her birth certificate was filed on January 8, 1914. Her birth was a single birth. Her father was the 44 year-old farmer, Charles Oakman, born in Sweden. Her mother was the 30 year-old housewife, Mathilda Lundberg, also born in Sweden and whose “usual residence” was Minnesota.

Her name is spelled La Verne on her gravestone.

In the 1940 census, she is married to William England. The couple lives in a rented house in Portland, Oregon, but they lived in Salem in 1935. William has four years of college, La Vern has one. William is a laborer working for a contractor. They have no children.
OAKMAN, Laverne (I8558)

18035 She is not the wife of Cassius Tull of Oregon City, Oregon.

The 1911 Fargo, North Dakota, city directory includes a Miss Ida Williams, clerk for Reineke & McCone, who rooms at 512 1st Avenue N.

An Ida Williams lived in Fargo in that state’s 1915 census.
WILLIAMS, Ida C (I7101)

18036 She is omitted from the bygdebok’s listings of her parents’ children. UVDAL, Gjartrud Gudbrandsdatter (I28317)

18037 She is probably Gertrude, the daughter of Ira and Julia Beane. Ira was a hotel-keeper in Weyauwega in the 1900 census and in Shawano in the 1910 census. In the 1910 census, Gertrude B is shown as their adopted daughter with birthplaces of her parents unknown. The 1930 census shows her parents born in Vermont.

She is probably the Gertrude Williams Hesselbacher, b. 25 Feb 1890 in Wisconsin to a woman whose maiden name was Blight, who died in Los Angeles County, California, on 8 Nov 1942.
BEANE, Gertrude (I8104)

18038 She is probably Marit Olsdatter Syndrol, I17705 in Jim’s VS. That is assumed here and is consistent with the bygdebok (Vang A, p.828).

Eugene shows Knut as having three sisters: Dorthea, Marit, and ?. The 1865 Norwegian census, at which time Marit Olsdatter was a widow on Viland øvre in Vang, Knud and Dorthe (b. 1848) were the only two children living with Marit.

She was living wih Knut and Marit in Kerkhoven Twp in the 1875 census.

An 88 year-old Marit, born in Norway, is living with Knut and Julia in Kerkhoven Twp in the 1895 Minnesota state census.

Altarking’s Tarbox Family Tree incorrectly calls her Maren Evensdatter. (Maren E gave birth to an Ole on 22 Oct 1832. The father was Tosten Olsen Søndre-Bøe.)
SYNDROL, Marit Olsdatter (I8871)
