17971 She is I9434 in Jim’s Ellingboe tree. DAL, Sigrid Eiriksdotter (I22177)

17972 She is incorrectly shown as Ragndi Eriksdatter Kvåle, I8781, in Jim’s VS. Jim’s Ellingboe tree does not show the parents of Erik Anderson Ellestad, the man he shows in that tree as Rose’s father.

However, the marriage record shows her as Randi Eriksdatter, age 22 of Qvale, daughter of Erik Iversen.

Rose said that Rangdi “didn’t take” to Rose because she, Rose, “didn’t look like them.” That may be why Ann was sent to replace Rose in the later 19-oughts. Apparently, however, Rose stayed to help on Andrew’s and Rangdi’s farm for a year and a half (1907-1908) and then Ann came for another year and a half. It was while Rose was helping out on the farm that she met Ole Ellingboe. She “worked another summer” and then, presumably, married Ole.

Also known as Randi (on her death certificate) or Rande. Buried as Randi Thompson.

In the 1920 census, she is living in Minneapolis at 1406 E. 22nd Street with her daughter Mary Willson and family. She is shown as 88 years old and having come to this country in 1877, naturalized as a citizen in 1885.

Spent her last years at 3338 Oakland Avenue S., Minneapolis, in the home of her daughter, Mary Willson.

Evey has a formal family photograph taken, probably, in the ‘teens that contains Rangdi with children Betsy, John, Johan, Mary, Erick, Knute, Belle, and Thomas.
KVÅLE, Rangdi Eriksdatter (I222)

17973 She is Ingebjør Jonsdatter Onstad, I40967, in Jim’s VS, no husband or children shown.

She was born on Onstad 35/1 Nedre in Øystre Slidre according to Jim’s VS. The birth record shows Rogne sokn.

May be the Ingeborg Johnsdatter, age 61 and a widow, living with her son John Eriksson, age 22 and unmarried, on the Storeqvale farm in Lomen in the 1865 census.
ONSTAD, Ingeborg Jonsdatter (I1740)

17974 She is Ingebjørg Eivindsdatter Frigstad, I1656, in Jim’s VS. FRIGSTAD, Ingeborg Evensdatter (I23981)

17975 She is Ingebjørg Kristoffersdatter Berge, I174, in Jim’s VS. BERGE, Ingebjørg Kristoffersdatter (I22999)

17976 She is Ingeleiv Ingvaldsdatter Wangensteen, I1403, in Jim’s VS.

Jim’s notes:

STELE, Ingeleiv Ingvaldsdotter (I2423)

17977 She is Inger Olsdatter Sunden, I7724, in Jim’s VS. Jim has her born 1706 in Sundheim to Ola Olsen Sundem (1657-1722) and Eli Andrisdatter Haugsrud (ca 1680-1734).

Super Mega calls her Inge Olsdatter Magistad born 1706 in Røn, Vestre Slidre, and dying 14 Feb 1775. Everett shows no parents for her. The French Family Tree agrees with her place and date of birth but has her dying in Øye in 1767.

After Ole died in 1735, she married Kristen Tostenson Hålien and had two children with him.
Inger Olsdatter (I24951)

17978 She is Ingrid ? Embriksdtr Belsheim, I8864, in Jim’s VS.

Jim’s notes: Jeg vet ikke fornavnet hennes, og har derfor "kalt" henne opp etter moren. Men hun arvet Øvre Heen etter morfaren Tore.

She lived on Bunde 97/4, Nordigarden in Høre.
BELSHEIM, Ingrid Embriksdatter (I2415)

17979 She is Isabelle S. J. Haugerud, I9855, in Jim’s Ellingboe tree. No information on her parents other than their names: Sever J. Haugerud and Inger Olson.

She is called Ingeborg Haugrud in her husband’s obit.

In the 1860 census, she is the two year-old “Engebra” Johnson living with her parents and siblings in Bristol Twp, Worth County.

In the 1870 census, the 13 year-old Isabel Johnson lived with her parents, Syvert and Inger Johnson, and her siblings, in Silver Lake Twp.

In the 1900 census she had had 11 children, 8 still living (and all still at home). Those numbers are 12 and 8 in the 1910 census.

In the 1930 census, she is a 73 year-old widow living with her son Henry and family in Nunda Twp, Freeborn County, Minnesota.

Died of heart disease. Lived 6 miles northeast of Lake Mills in Silver Lake Twp.

Her obit, from Elaine Bergen on Find A Grave entry maintained by Katherine Howard:

Isabelle Johnson Thompson (93) died February 18, 1951 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hans Bendickson. Isabelle Johnson Thompson was born March 14, 1857 in Hartland Twp., to Sever and Inger Johnson Haugerud. She was born in an old sod house, fourth white child in Worth Co. When one month of age, the family moved by covered wagon to the Sever Haugerud farm where she lived until she was 21 years old. Her father was a soldier in the Civil War when she was eight years old.

She married Henry O. Thompson in 1878 at the Silver Lake Church, by the Rev. Tosdahl. They bought the Christy Sorenson farm where they lived four years, after which they bought the farm near State Line Lake and she lived there the rest of her life. The farm is now occupied by her son, Henry. She made her home the past ten years with her daughter, Mrs. Hans Bendickson. They were parents of twelve children, with six preceding her in death. Her husband died 26 years ago. She is survived by her children, Orlando, London, MN; Eddie, Glenville; Henry, Emmons; Mrs. Hans (Serena) Bendickson, Lake Mills, Mrs. Jake Oakland, Glenville,; Mrs. Mac (Etta) Macpherson, Portland, Ore; 31 grandchildren and 41 great-great grandchildren. The funeral was held at Silver Lake Church, with the Rev. J.M. Haaland officiating.

During 1950, she pieced five quilts without the aid of glasses. She recalled her parents telling of the Sioux Indians coming from Mankato and northern parts, of how they left all their possessions and took only their children and fleeing across the river at Northwood where they went into hiding, equipped with guns and ammunition. The Indians didn't come, however. Her mother often gave bread and supplies to the Indians.
JOHNSON, Isabell S (I12856)

17980 She is Jørand Torsteinsdatter Lome, I19667, in Jim’s VS. Jim has her mistakenly born in Lome.

dwfrench1 calls her Jørand Tostensdatter Kjorlien.

In the 1900 census, she had had 5 children, all still living. She came to the U.S. in 1869.

Julia died of pneumonia. Her usual residence at the time she died was 624 East Granite, Granite Falls, which was not a farm. She had been in Granite Falls for 30 years. The informant for her death certificate was Mrs. Erland Knutson.
