Carol J. Vig, 85, of Richland Center, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Schmitt Woodland Hills in Richland Center. She was born on May 7, 1938, in Holcombe, Wisconsin, the daughter of Gerald and Bernice (Wolfe) Frion. She married Raymond D. Vig and they parted ways 25 years later. She was the oldest of 10 children.
Besides raising her family of 8 children, she worked at various restaurants, catering, and as environmental services personnel at the Tomah hospital. Carol was well known for her quick wit and sarcasm. She enjoyed family reunions especially hosting them, fishing, playing cards (cheating), sewing, crafting, and the Green Bay Packers. In later years enjoyed riding to various places with her friend, Betty.
She is survived by her 8 children, Jody (Dan) Ames, Tony Vig (Amy Voights, Kim (LaVerne) Nundahl, Rick (Linda) Vig, Kirsten Vig, Eric Vig, Heather Vig – Taylor Jo/ faithful companion of grandma, and her estranged daughter Marcie Wegner; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; a sister, Dort Hilburger; 4 brothers, Duane (Sandy) Frion, Ed (Viv) Frion, Jerry (Pat) Frion, Steven (Jane) Frion; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. | FRION, Carol Jean (I42184)
