1746 Arnold Hoyme of Wetaskiwin died peacefully in the early morning hours of November 14, 2016 with loved ones nearby.

Remembering him with love are his wife, Edith; daughter, Marlene (Bob) Olson; step-children, Shirley Watson, Wayne (Linda) Arnold and Wade (Adele) Arnold; brothers, Clifford (Dorothy), Melford (Donna); and sister-in-law, Doreen. His love of family will live on in the memories of his 18 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Alma Hoyme; son, Darryle; step-sons, Brian, Wesley; brothers, Orin, Ernest, Konard; and sister, Almira.

Arnold was well-respected in the community; from the family farm near Camrose, to WWII service, to many years of work and community service in the Wetaskiwin area. In addition to farming, Arnold operated businesses in feedmill management, ceramics, real estate, insurance and more. He continued to work into his nineties. He was a life-long member of the Lions Club, proudly supporting their causes and community activities.

He went to Canada soon after because he applied for his homestead in Alberta on 19 Oct 1906.

In the 1921 Canadian census, he is the 36 year-old Andrew Rodvang, a single man, farming on his own farm in the Battle River district of Alberta, Canada. He had been naturalized as a Canadian citizen in 1913.

Farmed in Throne, Acadia, Alberta, Canada, as Andrew Rodvang.

He departed Liverpool with his new wife on 27 Aug 1926, bound for Quebec.
