Eagle Lake resident, Nellie Anderson, 92, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eagle Lake Church of Christ. Interment will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-7 on Friday at the church and will continue 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Nellie was born May 26, 1921 on the family farm in Crawford County, WI, to Ernest and Matilda (Borland) McKittrick. She attended grade school in Coher County School and Readstown High School. She married C.O. "Andy" Anderson on February 10, 1941 in Rock Rapids, IA and helped him run Dairy Bar in Westby, WI until Andy went in the service. After moving to Eagle Lake from LaCrosse, WI she worked for Johnson Cleaners and Midtex for 28 years. Along with her husband, she co-founded the Auto Restorers Club of Southern MN. Nellie spent many years teaching Sunday school at Eagle Lake Church of Christ and loved going out to eat and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brother, three sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Arthur Nicholls Cartwright, 87, of Biwabik died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at the Virginia Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 22, 1914, in Brainerd, Minn., to Arthur and Kate (Nicholls) Cartwright. On Nov. 12, 1942, he was married to Edna Orfald. He was a lifelong resident of Biwabik and a member of the Community United Church of Christ, where he sang in the choir for many years. He also played trumpet in the Biwabik City Band, starting as a teenager and continuing through the duration of the band. His love of music extended to playing the saw for his family and special music at church.
He had been employed by the Duluth Missabe and Iron Range Railroad, and he retired from the White Community Hospital in Aurora as a boiler engineer.
He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Russ) Norha of Plymouth, Minn., and Shirley (Rich) Czarniecki of Plymouth; sister, Irene Miles of Biwabik; grandchildren, Anita, Eric, Kirk and Diane; great-grandchildren, Josh, Ben and Brianna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
