NELSON, Ralph Lorenzo (I9742)

16668 Ralph O. on death certificate.

Jessica refers to him as Rollaf Ola Gronseth, son of Ola Larsen Gronseth and Mali Rollaugsdatter Krislok.

The records of the Norway Lake Lutheran churches say that Rolf was born in Goodhue County and “came with parents.” He married Emma E. Ellingboe who was born in Norway Lake.

He became a member of Trønderlag of America in about 1913. This was (and still is) the bygdelag for emigrants and their descendants from the Trøndelag region of Norway. Rolf O. Grønseth, of R. 3, Murdock, Minnesota, and from Stjørdalen, was listed in the Trønderlaget’s 1913 yearbook. The “from Stjørdalen” part must refer to Rolf’s father.
