Marge's dad had a Nash automobile dealership in Red Wing according to DHC. That would have been the Anderson Motor Co., 1004 Main Street in Red Wing. It was a Nash dealership from 1947 to 1956.

Margaret Virginia “Marge” Holt of Pequot Lakes, Minn. and formerly of Hackensack and Crosslake, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at her home after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

She was born May 22, 1926, to Carl and Agnes (Peterson) Anderson in Red Wing, Minn. She graduated from Central High School in Red Wing in May 1944. She married Donald O. Smith April 4, 1953. He died Aug. 25, 1978. She married Donald B. Holt Nov. 24, 1979.

She is survived by her husband Donald of Pequot Lakes; one son, Al (Lynn) Smith of Holman, Wis.; one daughter, Jan Hawes of Rosemount, Minn.; two stepdaughters, Joan Nagorski of Worthington and Jean (Terry) Nagorski of Big Lake; one stepson, Donald (Elizabeth) Holt of Brainerd; one brother, Melvin (Margo Ann) Anderson of Rapid City, S.D.; nine grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and her parents.

Funeral services were held Nov. 12 at Union Congregational Church in Hackensack with Pastor Michael Small officiating.

Kline Funeral Home of Pine River handled arrangements.
