In the 1936 and 1938 Minneapolis city directories, she may be the Marie Ellingboe who is a social worker with the North East Neighborhood House. She lived at 1929 N E 2nd.

She was director of that facility before moving to Seattle in 1938 or so.

At the time of her marriage, according to an article in the Minneapolis Star, she was a social worker. She had been the director of the Northeast Neighborhood House before going to Seattle where she was executive secretary of the Seattle Welfare Council.

Her sister Helen E Schmid was one of the witnesses to her marriage.

She was Mrs. George Chandler of Vancouver, B.C., at the time of her mother’s death.

The Milwaukee city directory for the period 1889-1890 shows Andrew Ellingboe, carpenter, and Christopher Ellingboe, laborer, residing at 154 S. Bay.
