He registered for the World War I draft in Potlatch, Idaho, where he worked for the Potlatch Lumber Company. He was married with a wife and child. He was tall and of medium build with gray eyes and brown hair.

In the 1920 census, he was Henry H Mousseau, living with his family in Portland. He was a machine worker at a foundry.

In the 1930 census, he was Henry or Hiram Mousseau (the first name could be either), living with his family in Portland, Oregon. He was an edgeman at a saw mill.

His SS# was issued in Oregon.

In the 1937 and 1939 Portland city directories, he and Elizabeth live at 3729 SE 64th Avenue. He’s a millworker for I-PLbrCo.

In the 1940 census, Hiram, Elizabeth, and Bernice live in a rented house at 3729 S E 64th Avenue. They had lived at the same house in 1935. Included in the household was the 13 year-old Dorothy Vandcock or VanScock, foster daughter, also born in Oregon, and who had lived in a differnt house in Portland five years earlier. Hiram was an edgerman in sawmill. Hiram was educated through two years of high school. Dorothy was in school but only had completed third grade at that point. From the 1930 census, we see that Dorothy was the daughter of Floyd and Veola Van Scoik.

He registered for the World War II draft in 1942. At that time, he and his wife Elizabeth lived at 3729 SE 64 Avenue in Portland. He was employed by Oregon Ship Building of St. Johns. (This is the same work location as Anton Haugen, #14093, and Herman Anderson, #7760.)

John and Stella live with their daughter in the Barber Precinct of Ada County, Idaho, in the 1930 census. John works in a saw mill.

Shown in the 1920 census as having come to this country in 1864 or 1869 and still an alien. The date is 1865 or 1868 in the 1910 census.

He registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Benson as Martin Sondrol. He was 36 years old and gave his birth date as September 16th. The year is not shown on the copy but presumably it’s 1881 or 1882. He gave his address as Murdock 3, Kerkhoven Twp, and his nearest relative as Mrs. Martin Sondrol of that same address. He was of medium height and build with blue eyes and dark hair.

In the 1930 census, he and his wife and three children lived in Kerkhoven Twp, Swift County. Their farm is listed on the same census page as Selmer Framstad (#15995).

14200 Living with the Adolph Herz Sr. family in the 1920 census and with the Adolph Herz Jr. (and her aunt Julia Dietl Herz) family in the 1930 census in Clackamas County, Oregon. Living with her sister Anne Louise in both instances.

The 1920 census shows her as 4 years and 5 months old which suggests she was born in or about July or August of 1915.

In the 1940 census, as Julia Larson, she was still living with the Herzes in the Cottrell Precinct of Clackamas County, Oregon. She is shown as 24 years old and the “adopted daughter” of Edward and Julia Herz.

Her engagement to William Perkins was announced at the same time as her sister Anna Louise’s engagement to Frederick Kubler in the 10 Jan 1940 edition of the Corvallis newspaper. Julia attended Oregon State was a graduate of the Oregon College of Education at Monmouth.

She was still married to Kenneth Tuttle at his death in 1988 and was referred to in his obit as Julia Larson Tuttle.

A Julia Ann Tuttle married a Daniel Lee Wisecarver in Washington in August or September of 1967. They divorced in June of 1977. She married James K Wilhelm in 1979.
