    Living with the Sverdrups in the 1880 census (despite the entry in the 1900 census that he emigrated in 1881 and the claim in the 1895 state census that he had been in the state for 14 years).

    Living in Wild Rice Township, Norman County, MN, in the 1900 census. The family was: Jorgen, 38, is a miller (the same occupation he had in 1880). The rest of his family is Augusta, 32, George S., Martin, Elsie, Kristen, Andreas, Rasmus, and Maria.
