According to the MHS birth index, a different Eliott, Eliott E. Snesrud was born in Rice County on March 15, 1900, to a woman whose maiden name was Rud.

Registered for the draft on September 12, 1918, in Faribault, Rice County, as Elliott Almer Snesrud. He was a mail carrier for the U. S. government and lived with his parents, Theodore Snesrud, at Route 2, Webster, Rice County. He was described as of medium height and build with blue eyes and black hair.

In the 1930 census, Elliot is the head of a household that also contains Arthur, Melvin, and Inga. They are farming in Webster.

Elliott married Gertrude MEINKE on 24 Jun 1930 in Rice County, Minnesota. Gertrude (daughter of Otto MEINKE and SPRAIN) was born on 16 Mar 1905 in Rice County, Minnesota; died on 16 Feb 1989 in Hennepin County, Minnesota. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The “Solor’s Lutheran Cemetery” was established in 1881 in Greenvale Twp, Dakota County. It was a 1 acre plot of land in Section 9, the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter. The cemetery was later abandoned and moved to Webster Twp, Rice County, about 6 miles west, to the location of the Solor Lutheran Church of Webster. It is not clear whether or not anyone is still buried at the Greenvale Twp location.
