    DIXON, Muriel Marie left this world peacefully on the 24th day of March, 2013 at the age of 93 in Saginaw, Texas. Muriel was born to Charles Wm. and Loretta Jeffery in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 1, 1919. She was married to Michael Leo Dixon. She was survived by her sons Michael (Diane), Charles (Monica) and Thomas, grand children Jon (Sarah), Lacy (Ernie), Michael, Charles, Amanda (Travis), Nicholas, Brittany, Kayanna (Michael) and Brienne (Norman) and 10 great grand children. Muriel was predeceased by her spouse Michael, her son Jeffery Paul Dixon, her siblings Chuck, Bill, Nayome, Valjeane and Ginny. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Hill Cemetery North Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas on Thursday March 28, 2013. Visitation is from 1:00pm with services starting at 2:00pm. Muriel had her own sense of humor and during her lifetime touched many lives and opened her heart and home to those when they needed help. Her favorite song is "On Eagles' Wings" and her favorite poem is "Safely Home".

    He registered for the draft on June 5, 1917, in St. Paul as Charles William Jeffery. He was a machinist at the Great Northern’s Dale Street shops and lived at 641 N. Lexington. He was described as short and slender with blue eyes and dark hair. He claimed exemption from the draft because of “short leg.”

    In the 1920 census, he and his wife and two children lived in St. Paul. He was a railroad machinist.

    In the 1930 census, the family lives in St. Paul. Charles operates a filling station.

    In the 1940 census, Charles was a machinist in a machine shop.

    In the 1860 census there is an 8 year-old Engelbert Meyer, son of Johann and Anna Hefenmeyer, living with his parents and siblings on a farm in Freedonia, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. Both parents had been born in Bavaria.

    Both parents were born in Germany according to the 1900 census.

    In the 1880 census, the young family is living in the town of Winona, Winona County, Minnesota. Ingelbert, 29, is a wagon maker. His wife is Wally, 21, and the children are Fanny, 1, and Henry, 3 months.

    In the 1885 state census, the family is still in Winona. He is 34, his wife, Wally, is 26, and their children are Fanny, 6, Henry, 5, Carrie, 4, John, 3, and Dalla 1.

    An Engelbert Mayer, carriage manufacturer, is listed in the 1889-91 Minneapolis city directory living at 13 and 15 N E 4th.

    In 1893, he purchased part of block 7 in the Prospect Hill development near or in St. Paul.

    She was born in Bavaria according to her son Frank’s separate entry in that census.

    In the 1930 census, she is living with her daughter Loretta Jeffery and family in St. Paul.

    In the 1940 census, Walberga lived with her daughter Lorretta Jeffery and family. Walberga had a fifth grade education.

    She died of stomach cancer. Her daughter Loretta, of 1067 Hague Street in St. Paul, was the informant for Walberga’s death certificate. Walberga died at Loretta’s home and had lived there for 15 years.
