Jim’s VS does not have this second Ole Andersen.

This second Ola was born 10 Nov 1827, bapt 26 Dec, in Vang to Anders Olsen Dalager and Ingeborg Olsdatter.

His baptismal sponsors were Maren Johnsdatter Quam, Ingeborg Knutsdatter Böe, (something) Sönderohl, Knud Söyne, and (something) Johannessen Sonderohl.

In the 1865 Norwegian census, he and Ingeborg and their four sons were on Dahlager 49. He was gaardbruker og selveier.

As Ole Andersen Dalager, he emigrated with his wife Ingeborg Amundsdatter and their five children in July of 1869.

In the 1880 census, he is Ole Dalagher Anderson, age 54, living with his family in Udolpho Twp, Mower County, Minnesota. According to an obit from the Ward County Independent of Minot County (cited in Find A Grave, K. Pike), he died in Lansing, Minnesota. His sons were A.A. Dalager of Minot and Ole Dalager of Sawyer. “The decedent leaves also three other children.”

An 81 year-old Ole A. Dalager died in Mower County on 22 Nov 1906. His children were Ole of Renville (a different Ole), Andrew, Chris, and Ole of North Dakota, Ed. A. of Mower County, Anton, Mrs. Sam Kobes of Cathay, North Dakota, and Mrs. Bertha Jackson of St. James, Minnesota.

Ole married Ingeborg Amundsdatter BØ on 20 Oct 1853 in Vang i Valdres, Oppland, Norway. Ingeborg (daughter of Amund Bøyesen BØ and Torgund Evensdatter ELLINGBOE) was born on 1 Apr 1826 in Vang i Valdres, Oppland, Norway; died on 29 Dec 1906 in Udolpho Twp, Mower County, Minnesota; was buried in Red Oak Grove Cemetery, Austin, Mower County, Minnesota. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Generation: 4

  1. 12.  Andris Olsen KVAM was born in 1791 in Vang i Valdres, Oppland, Norway (son of Ola Kristofferson LEROHL and Berit Torsteinsdatter SKJEL).

    Notes:

The bygdebok, p. 840, calls him Andris Olsson S. Kvam (1791-1838).

He is probably a son of Ola Kristofferson Lerohl (1737-1793) and Berit Torsteinsdatter Skjel Leirol (1755-1835), a union mentioned on p. 885 of the bygdebok. That “probably” is what is assumed here. In the 1801 census, Berit is living on Qvam with her 2nd husband, Jon Ovesson Kvam. Included in their household is a nine year-old Andris Olsen listed as her son.

Jim’s VS agrees with Andris being a son of Ola and Berit. In Jim’s VS, Andris is Andris Olsen Leirol, #I57.

Translation: He is often called Andris Olsen Kvam because he grew up there with his mother and stepfather. He became a farmer at Dalåker when he married the widow there in 1821. Andris gave house #1 to stepson Nils Kristoffersen in 1832 and moved to house #2.

He was called Anders Olsen something at the time of his marriage to Ingeborg. The surname in the marriage record is unclear but it’s not (yet) Dallager.

    Birth:
    Leirol 62/2 Sygarden

Andris married Ingeborg Olsdatter DALÅKER on 14 Jun 1821 in Vang i Valdres, Oppland, Norway. Ingeborg (daughter of Ola Nilsson DALÅKER and Kjersti Andrisdatter KATTEVOLD) was born in 1790; died in 1843. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  2. 13.  Ingeborg Olsdatter DALÅKER was born in 1790 (daughter of Ola Nilsson DALÅKER and Kjersti Andrisdatter KATTEVOLD); died in 1843.

    Notes:

Her parents were Ole Neilson Dallager and Kiersti Andersdatter.

She was the heir to her father’s claim to Bruk I A of Nordigarde of Dalåker. Nevertheless, Kristoffer Nilsson had to purchase it from her father for 300 units of currency plus something else.

    Birth:
    Dalåker 49/1 Nordigarden

    Notes:

Jim calls him Amund Bøyesen Bø, b. 1803.

    Birth:
    Bø 25/ Uppigarden

Amund married Torgund Evensdatter ELLINGBOE. Torgund (daughter of Eivind Olsen ELLINGBØ and Berit Vilhjølmsdatter BAGGETUN) was born about 1795 in Vang i Valdres, Oppland, Norway. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  4. 15.  Torgund Evensdatter ELLINGBOE was born about 1795 in Vang i Valdres, Oppland, Norway (daughter of Eivind Olsen ELLINGBØ and Berit Vilhjølmsdatter BAGGETUN).
