In the 1920 census, he and his family live in Valley County, Montana. Gilbert is a railroad laborer.

In the 1930 census, he is divorced. He and Lois live in St. Joseph, Missouri. Gilbert does blending for an oil company.

In the 1940 census, he is married to Goldie and they live in St. Joseph where he is still a blender for an oil company. Living with them is his daughter, Lois Brennan, and her daughter, Delores M Brennan, 2, born in New York.

In the 1885 Minnesota census, he and Marit lived in Renville County. At home were Ida, Edvart, Elida, and Gilbert.

In the 1895 Minnesota census, it was the same.

In the 1900 census, he and his family lived in Minneapolis. He had no occcupation. His wife was Marith. Living with them were a step-daughter and a step-granddaughter, Marith Ostrem, 31, and Mary A Ostrem, 3. Ida and the younger Marith were laundresses.

Even married Marit Evensdatter MYRE on 21 Jan 1874 in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Marit (daughter of Even Tronsen MYHRE and Marith Jørgensdatter SØRE-BØ) was born on 14 Oct 1836 in Vang i Valdres, Oppland, Norway; died on 26 May 1919 in Hennepin County, Minnesota; was buried in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Notes:

She is sometimes confused with her older sister who died before this Marit was born. That other Marit Evensdatter was born in October of 1834 and died in 1835.

The bygdebok calls her Marit Eivindsdotter Villand of N. Myre.

She was married to Eivind Jøgersson Austreim in Norway before she married Even Boe. In the 1900 census, Marith had had 9 children, 8 still living. Even had come to the U.S. in 1870 and Marith in 1868.

In the 1880 census, Even and Marit lived in Wang Twp in Renville County. The household included five children who would have been Marit’s from her first husband: George, 22, Even, 20, Bertha, 18, Ole, 15, and Marit, 11. The two oldest were born in Norway.

Died at the residence of her son, Mr. E. E. Ostrum, 3024 Cedar Avenue.
