    He and his parents came to the U.S. when he was 12 years old according to his obituary.

    In the 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses, he was a farmer in Stanton Twp, Dunn County. In the 1900 census, he was called Mort. In the other two censuses, he was called Murice.

    In the 1905 state census, he was called Maurice (and indexed as Quim).

    His parents, James Quinn and Mary Deneen, were born in Ireland.

    According to his death certificate, he was a retired farmer, wife Margaret. His usual residence was 428 Dayton Avenue. He died from pneumonia, complicated by a coma and senility.

    His obit said that he was one of the pioneers of Dunn County. He resided on the same farm from 1868 until 1941 when he and his wife moved to St. Paul.
