As an 11 year-old, he arrived in Washington, D.C., from San Juan, P.R., on 16 Feb 1920. As a 15 year-old, he arrived in Washington, D.C., from Veracruz, Mexico, on 29 Sep 1924.

He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy between 1 Apr 1944 and 27 Feb 1946 and arrived in Honolulu from Guam in December, 1945.

His Social Security number was issued in Washington, D.C., in 1952.

He is the Arthur Beaupre Darton whose wedding to a Miss Ann Killeen Dart was announced in Washington, D.C. in 1940. That Arthur Darton’s parents were Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Horatio Darton, a geologist for the USGS in the 1910 census, of Washington and Chevy Chase. That Arthur Darton was a graduate of George Washington University.

Nelson Horatio Darton died 28 Feb 1948 in Chevy Chase.

Arthur Darton’s sister Annunciata Kerlin died in Chevy Chase on 20 April 1951.

In the 1940 census, Arthur B. Darton lived in Chevy Chase, with his parents, at the very expensive home in Bethesda-Chevy Chase of his sister and brother-in-law, Nan and William Kerlin. Nan, then 34, had been born in Wyoming. Arthur, a builder in the construction industry, was born in D.C.

In the 1959 Tucson city directory, Arth B Darton, wife Ann, an architect, lives at 75 Camino Miramonie.

Arthur married Eileen Jane RASMUSSEN in Jan 1968 in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. Eileen (daughter of Arthur RASMUSSEN and Sarah M Huyet DIT CHAMPAGNE) was born on 28 Dec 1919 in Michigan; died on 8 Nov 2013 in Arizona; was buried in Holy Hope Cemetery, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona.
