In the 1910 census, he and his family and his brother Henry lived in the Monitor precinct of Marion County, Oregon. He was a merchant of general merchandise. He came to the U.S. in 1881.

In the 1920 census, the Gregersons lived in Hemet Twp, Riverside County, California. Ola and “Beatty” Gregerson, presumably Knute’s parents, lived next door or with them. Knute was a walnut and apricot farmer.

They were back in the Monitor precinct in the 1930 census.

Knute married Caroline Hansdatter LIMA about 1906. Caroline (daughter of Hans Reiersen LIMA and Marie Svendsdatter NESE) was born on 29 May 1879 in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway; died on 14 Dec 1951 in Marion County, Oregon; was buried in Miller Cemetery, Silverton, Marion County, Oregon. In the 1910 census, she had had 3 children, 2 still living. She had come to the U.S. in 1903.

In the 1940 census, she was the widowed head-of-household at 508 East Oak in Silverton. The household consisted of Caroline, 61, her daughter Bessie, Lloyd Larson, her daughter Marie Larson, 27, and Marie’s daughter Gail Larson, 1. They had all lived in a different place in Marion County in 1935.

Hans married Marie Svendsdatter NESE. Marie (daughter of Svend Hansson NESE and Torjer Kiddelsdatter OFTEDAL) was born on 14 Feb 1839 in Gjesdal, Lye, Rogaland, Norway; died on 9 Feb 1915 in Oregon; was buried in Miller Cemetery, Silverton, Marion County, Oregon. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

She came to the U.S. in 1902 with all of her children. They settled in Oregon.

In the 1910 census, as Marie Lima, she lived with her son Reier and his family in Clackamas County, Oregon. She was recorded a second time in the 1910 census as Mary Lima, mother-in-law, living with her daughter Rakel Lee. In that second entry, she is shown as having had 12 children, 6 still living. (This latter number assumes Hanna has died.)
