Notes:

Anna died at the Pioneer Home, a nursing home in Fergus Falls. She had never married. She had been a beautician in Fergus Falls. The informant for her death certificate was the nursing home and they had no idea who Anna’s parents were. Anna died from dehydration, a urinary tract infection, a stroke, and dementia.

SSDI says 12 Nov 1990. Death certificate says November 13.

In the 1900 census, as Anton Mitby, he and his family lived in Trondhjem Twp, Otter Tail County, Minnesota, probably on the original family farm in Minnesota.

In the 1905 Minnesota state census, the Mitbos lived in Pelican Rapids in Otter Tail County.

In the 1910 census, the widower Anton and his family lived in Ward County, North Dakota. Anton died shortly thereafter.

Anton married Marie Iversdatter BERGER. Marie was born on 28 Mar 1873 in Jevnaker, Hadeland, Oppland, Norway. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Marie Berger (Iversdatter), Anton's wife your Grandma Ella's mother was born in Jevnaker, Norway in 1873 unsure when her family came to America. Her parents were Iver Olsen and Berte Ellingsdatter, apparently Iver took the name Bergereie at some point and then shortened to Berger. Marie had one brother Edevart Iversen and one sister Olava Iversdatter. Came across one document that said Iver was a servant in a large house and so was Berte I think this is how they meet. Also found out that Karen Eriksdatter was Iver’s mother she lived with Iver and Berte when Marie was a very young girl in Norway. Any other question just e-mail. His parents were Christian Petterson and Gøren (sp?) Andersdatter of the Mitboe farm in Jevnaker.

In the 1865 census, he and his family lived on the Mitbø farm in Østre Thoten. Peter was a “Husmand med Jord, Skovdrift” (cotter with land, ?).

In the 1880 census, he and his family are in Trondhjem Twp. The household consists of Peter C. Midbo, 50, his wife Christine, 50, Petra, 12, Josephine, 8, Anton, 5, and three servants: Erick and Anne Hanson and Anton Nilsen.

In the 1900 census, he and Christine are living with their son Anton and his family in Otter Tail County.

Petter married Kristine JOHANNESDATTER about 1848. Kristine was born in Apr 1830 in Vestre Toten, Oppland, Norway. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
