Apparently named after his mother’s brother.

In the 1940 census, he was the 13 year-old Archie Revander, step-son of Walter and Alice Polzin. He lived in Marinette County, Wisconsin, with his step-father, mother, sister, half-sister, and half-brother.

His mother, Alice, b. ca 1910 in North Dakota, married Albert Ellis Ravander in 1956.

She died, and was buried, as Alice Ravander.

Find A Grave believes that her mother was Julia Fort, b. 22 Mar 1886 in Winona, Minnesota, d. 6 Feb 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who was married to men named Hoge, Frank Cox, and Haase. Find A Grave believed that Frank Cox was Alice’s father.

In the 1930 census, she (indexed as Alice Rezender) and her two children live in Peshtigo. She is shown as married (since age 16) but no husband is present. She is living with her mother, Julia Haase (also married but with no husband present) and Julia’s children Archie, Gertrude, and Robert.

In the 1910 census, he and Julia lived in Voltaire Twp, McHenry County, North Dakota.

In the 1920 census, he and Julia, and their children Alice and Archie, lived in Deerwood Twp, Crow Wing County.

Frank married Julia E FORT. Julia (daughter of Oscar FORT and Josephine BURLEY) was born on 22 Mar 1886 in Winona County, Minnesota. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

In the 1910 census, she and Frank had been married for two years and it was the second marriage for each of them. She had had one child who was no longer alive.

By 1930 she was Julia Haase. She was buried as Julia Haase.
