Notes:

As Julius H. Lee, he was a farmer in Lisbon Twp, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, in the 1880 census.

In the 1885 Minnesota census, Julius and his family were still in Lisbon Twp in Yellow Medicine County. Julius was 31 and his wife Anne was 32.

In the 1900 census, he was a farmer in Gilby Twp, Grand Forks County, North Dakota. All of his children were still at home.

In the 1910 census, they’re still in Gilby Twp. Their oldest son has left home but the other five are still single and living at home.

In the 1920 census, they’re still in Gilby Twp. Living with J.H. and Anna are their children Elvin and Selma as well as a grand-daughter, Amy, age 6 and 9 months. Amy is apparently the daughter of Elvin who is a widower. Living next door is Fred Lee.

According to the 1900 census, she came to the U.S. in 1860. She had had seven children, six still living. Those numbers stay the same in the 1910 census.

She is a widow in the 1930 census.

She is probably the Anna J Lee who died in Grand Forks County on 8 April 1934. She was born 14 Apr 1854.

Halvor was illegitimate. His parents were Tideman Halvorsen of Øvre Lie, and Malene Andersatter of Lieeie.

In the 1865 Norwegian census he was Halvord Tidemandsen living on Sveen in Sør-Aurdal.

In the 1875 Minnesota census, the family is in Lisbon Twp, Yellow Medicine County. The household consists of Halvor T Lee, 51, Ingeborg Julsen, 48, Juel Halvorsen, 21, Martin H Lee, 19, Berthe, 17, Anders, 12, Ole, 9, and Elling, 3.

“Halver T.” in the 1880 census at which time the family was living in the town of Lisbon, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Andrew, Ole, and Elling were still living at home. Son “Timan” lived next door.

According to jwiborg, Halvor, as 46 year-old Halvor Tidemandsen Øverli, and his family emigrated from Oslo, destination Rochester, on May 13, 1870. Accompanying him was his wife Ingeborg, 43, Jul, 17, Martin, 11, and Marit, 9, Berthe, 8, Anders, 6, Ole, 3, and Even, 11 months. The family arrived in Quebec on May 30th aboard the ship Nova Scotia.

Halvor married Ingeborg Juelsdatter on 24 Apr 1848 in Sør-Aurdal i Valdres, Oppland, Norway. Ingeborg was born on 22 Feb 1827 in Sør-Aurdal i Valdres, Oppland, Norway. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
