    He registered for the draft in Buffalo, Minnesota, as 38 year-old George Joseph Perra, on September 12, 1918. At that time he lived in Waverly and was an agent for Manhattan Oil Co. of Waverly. He gave Delia Perra, his wife, of Waverly, as his nearest relative. He was described as of medium height and build with brown eyes and black hair.

    He was a farmer in Fossum Twp, Norman County, Minnesota, at the time of the 1920 census.

    George and Delia were born in Minnesota but their parents were born in Canada.

    In the 1940 census, he and Delia lived in Pembina Twp, Mahnomen County. He was a butcher. Five years earlier, they had lived in Mahnomen.
