    ELKO (Special) -- Funeral services were held for Gladys Bergstrom today, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Solor Lutheran Church at Webster. Gladys Bergstrom, 33, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Bergstrom of Elko. She died suddenly early Monday, Oct. 10, at their farm home.

    Funeral services were held for Mrs. Hans Bergsrom of Elko Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Solor Lutheran Church at Webster. The Rev. Eldon Underdahl officiated. Mrs. Ben Nelson sang "Beyond The Sunset" and the congregation sang "In Heaven Above" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Pallbearers were Glenn Aronson, Allard Aronson, Arhur Davidson, Stanley Rud, Charles Rud and Lyle Rud. Interment was in the Solor Lutheran Church Cemetery at Webster. Esther Mabel Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Erick Johnson was born Oct. 9, 1899, at Red Wing. She attended Red Wing Schools and Dec. 2, 1925, she was married to Hans Bergstrom at Red Wing. She died Monday, Oct. 26, at the Sanford Hospital at Farmington following an illness of two weeks. She was 65 at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Rud and Mrs. Louis Rud of Webster and three brothers, Carl Johnson of Red Wing, Arthur Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., and Elmer Johnson of Neenah, Wis. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gladys.

    He seems to be Ola Nilsen Haugen, I25645, in Jim’s VS. For that entry, there is no further information on Ole’s wife or children. However, the VS entry shows Ole’s parents to be Nils Olsen Helle and Berit Håvardsdatter Helle.

    He’s simply Ole Nelson in the French Family Tree.

    The bygdebok (p. 787) calls him Ola Nilsson Tørstadeiga. He was called Ole Nilsen Ellingbø in the church book entry for Nel’s birth. He was called Ole Nielson Kattevold in the entry for Anders’s birth and for Helge’s birth and for the family’s emigration record.

    Shown as Ole Nielsson in the 1865 Norwegian census. He was a “husmand med jord og smed” on the Grunkø farm in Hoved subparish in Vang parish. He was 38, his wife Sigri Olsdatter was 31, and they had two sons: Niels, 7, and Ole, 3. Grunkø, aka Grunke or Grunketeigen, was a husmannplassen under Øvre Kattevøl.
