He was a farmer in Lisbon Twp in the 1900 census. He lived next door to his brother Tidemand (”T.H.”).

In the 1910 census, Ole and family live in Queen Twp, Polk County, Minnesota.

The family is still there in the 1920 census. Children still at home in 1920 were Selma, 30, Mary, 21, Fred, 18, Joseph, 17, Alice, 13, Bertha, 10, Agnes, 7, and Homer, 5.

He died from Hodgkin’s Disease. The informant for his death certificate was Fred Lee of Fosston.

Ole married Johanna LEE about 1887. Johanna was born in Dec 1868 in Minnesota. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

In the 1900 census she is shown as having had 7 children, 5 still living. Those numbers are 12 and 9 in the 1910 census.

She is a widow in the 1930 census. Still living at home with her were Selma, 40, Fred, 29, Agnes, 17, and Homer, 15.

Halvor was illegitimate. His parents were Tideman Halvorsen of Øvre Lie, and Malene Andersatter of Lieeie.

In the 1865 Norwegian census he was Halvord Tidemandsen living on Sveen in Sør-Aurdal.

In the 1875 Minnesota census, the family is in Lisbon Twp, Yellow Medicine County. The household consists of Halvor T Lee, 51, Ingeborg Julsen, 48, Juel Halvorsen, 21, Martin H Lee, 19, Berthe, 17, Anders, 12, Ole, 9, and Elling, 3.

“Halver T.” in the 1880 census at which time the family was living in the town of Lisbon, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Andrew, Ole, and Elling were still living at home. Son “Timan” lived next door.

According to jwiborg, Halvor, as 46 year-old Halvor Tidemandsen Øverli, and his family emigrated from Oslo, destination Rochester, on May 13, 1870. Accompanying him was his wife Ingeborg, 43, Jul, 17, Martin, 11, and Marit, 9, Berthe, 8, Anders, 6, Ole, 3, and Even, 11 months. The family arrived in Quebec on May 30th aboard the ship Nova Scotia.

Halvor married Ingeborg Juelsdatter on 24 Apr 1848 in Sør-Aurdal i Valdres, Oppland, Norway. Ingeborg was born on 22 Feb 1827 in Sør-Aurdal i Valdres, Oppland, Norway. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
