  1. 1.  Nancy Jo HURLBERT was born on 1 Aug 1951 in Hennepin County, Minnesota (daughter of Donald Patrick HURLBERT, Sr and Ruth Madeline PETERSON); died on 11 Sep 2021.

    Notes:

Nancy Jo Robleto, 70, passed away peacefully at her home and joined her savior Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of September 11th, 2021 after a long battle with congestive heart failure and stage four kidney failure. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was the third child of the late Donald Patrick Hurlbert and late Ruth Madeline Hurlbert (Peterson) of Pauma Valley, California.

A former talented hairstylist and successful homemaker, she was a loving wife of 43 years to her husband, Armando Jose Robleto, 69, and a devoted mother to her only daughter Emily Faith Williams, 37, whom she homeschooled K-12. Nancy was a prolific artist who painted throughout her life, often copying the style of her favorite painter Vincent Van Gogh. A celloist in her high school orchestra, Nancy was a patron of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and Opera Carolina for many years. Because of Nancy’s enthusiasm for poetry and literature, she inspired her daughter Emily to pursue her own career in academics, which made her mother incredibly proud. She loved animals, particularly dogs and birds, and was always taking affectionate care for her pets which brought her great joy. But first and foremost, Nancy was a child of God who was a true witness to the Lord. She led both of her parents to Christ when she became a Christian as a young woman in her 20’s, and later led her own husband and daughter to be saved, including other friends and often complete strangers that she met throughout her life. Because of this woman, many people have come to know the peace that surpasses all understanding, and that peace is what sustains her family now in the mournful period of her death.

Along with her husband and daughter, she is survived by her son-in-law Dr. David M. Williams of Belmont, North Carolina; brothers Dennis Michael Hurlbert of Hawaii and Donald Patrick Hurlbert Jr. of Fairview, Texas and sister Jennifer Joan Hurlbert of Portland, Oregon, and their respective families.
