In the 1900 census, he was newly married and living in Warsaw Twp, Goodhue County. He was a hardware merchant. He was a merchant of general merchandise in the 1910 and 1920 censuses, living in the village of Dennison. He is probably in partnership with his brother-in-law John Norswing. He is listed in “The Valdris Book”, a history of the Valdris Samband published in 1920 (available on Google Books), as Austin T Austinson of Dennison. He was a member of the Samband between 1903 and 1916. In the 1930 census, Austin Austinson, 60, lived in the village of Dennison, Warsaw Twp, Goodue County. The family consisted of him, Severina, 51, Myron C., 25, and Evelyn T., 14. Austin was a retail grocery merchant. Their home was worth $5000.
