In the 1929 Faribault city directory, which includes Northfield, she is Emma Ellingboe, widow of John J, residing at 319 S Plum in Northfield. In the 1930 census, she lives at 319 South Plum in Northfield. Living with her is her daughter Bertha Gunderson and Bertha’s two daughters. In the 1939 Faribault city directory, which includes Northfield, she is Emma Ellingboe, widow of John J, living at 319 S Plum in Northfield. In the 1940 census, she lives in Northfield at 319 Plum, with her daughter and son-in-law, Hans and Bertha Gunderson. Called Bertha Strand on her son Martin’s death certificate.
